SUWANEE, Ga. -- A SWAT team was called in to negotiate with a man barricaded in a room at a Gwinnett County extended stay hotel Thursday afternoon.
The suspect, 25-year-old Jeremy Gates, ran from police and locked himself in a room at the Sun Suites on Celebration Drive in Suwanee. Suwanee Police and Gwinnett County Sheriff's officers responded to the scene.
Shortly before 1:30 p.m., officers forced entry into the room and arrested Gates without incident.
Suwanee Police Capt. Cass Mooney said Gates was wanted on a parole warrant for weapon possession and escape.
