BARTOW COUNTY, Ga. -- A Bartow County teacher has been arrested after being accused of having an inappropriate relationship with a student.
Bartow County Campus Police Chief Dan Knowles reported the alleged relationship between 41-year-old Chad Wade Clift, a teacher at Cass High School, and a 17-year-old student to the Bartow County Board of Education on Monday.
An investigation determined that the relationship happened off campus.
Clift, who resigned from his teaching position, was arrested on a sexual assault charged. He has been released on a $25,000 special condition bond, according to the Bartow County Sheriff's Office.
