NEWNAN, Ga. -- An 18-year-old was killed during a Friday evening crash, according to the Georgia State Patrol.
Authorities say a car Donovan Evans was riding in a car traveling north on Hwy 54 in Newnan that failed to yield while making a left turn. As a result, another car traveling south struck the passenger side of the first.
The crash ejected the backseat passenger of the first car and killed Evans, who was sitting in front seat passenger seat according to the Newnan Times-Herald. Both were airlifted to the Atlanta Medical Center, but Evans did not survive.

Two passengers from the second car were transported to a Newnan hospital by ambulance.
Authorities have not indicated whether either driver will face charges.
