KINGSTON, Ga. — Emergency officials in Bartow County are investigating after a train derailed Thursday morning in Kingston.
They said four tank cars and one box car left the tracks just before 10 a.m.
Bartow County Fire and Emergency Services said on social media that no hazardous materials are involved and they added that there are no injuries reported. CSX is on the scene working with authorities to develop a recovery plan.
Officials initially said the railroad crossings at Johnson Street and Church Street were blocked.
