COBB COUNTY, Ga. — Two people are in the hospital following a house fire in Cobb County, authorities said.
Marietta Fire said that around 5:34 p.m., crews were sent to a house fire on Old Highway 41. When crews arrived, they found heavy fire in the house itself. Crews from multiple jurisdictions worked to extinguish the fire. There was significant damage to the house.
Fire officials said that two people were sent to the hospital. Their conditions at this time are unknown.
According to Cobb County Fire, Old Highway 41 was shut down between Earnest W. Barrett Parkway and Stilesboro Road. As of 8:46 p.m., the road has since reopened for traffic.
