Union City police search for shooting suspect considered armed and dangerous

Witnesses told officials at the apartments the situation originated from a verbal altercation that turned physical.

UNION CITY, Ga. – Police are looking for a man they consider armed and dangerous.

Around 9:20 p.m. on Sunday, Union City police arrived at Shannon Chase Apartments in the 5300 block of SR 138 for a shots fired call. There, police found 25-year-old Marcellus Vaughn dead outside one of the units suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Witnesses told officials at the apartments the situation originated from a verbal altercation that turned physical.

Police issued warrants for the suspected shooter Demetrius Spratlin.

Spratlin was last seen driving a white 2015 Nissan NV 1500 work van with black mirrors and bumpers. Police said Spratlin should be considered armed and dangerous.
