11Alive is excited to announce that Vinnie Politan is joining 11Alive News Today!
An attorney before he became a journalist, Politan brings a rich and varied background to 11Alive. He's the current host of "On the Case" on HLN, and previously hosted HLN's "After Dark" and "Making it in America." Politan covered the Casey Anthony trial, Jodi Aria and the George Zimmeran trials for HLN and CNN. Before that, he covered the nation's biggest legal stories on TruTV. He also hosted a Sirius XM radio show regarding court cases.
Politan earned his undergraduate degree at Stanford University and attained his law degree at Seton Hall. He worked as an assistant prosecutor and had a private practice before he began his broadcasting career.

Politan will be joining the morning show team of Karyn Greer, Chesley McNeil and Jaye Watson the first week of August.
