ATLANTA — Vice President Kamala Harris has arrived in Atlanta this weekend to attend the Cricket Celebration Bowl, a release from the White House announced Thursday.
The annual national championship football game celebrates Historically Black Colleges and Universities. This year's Celebration Bowl features Howard University and Florida A&M.
Howard University, the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference champions, and Florida A&M, the Southwestern Athletic Conference champions, are set to face off against each other at Mercedes-Benz Stadium at noon EST.
The vice president will likely be rooting for her alma mater, Howard University. She will be accompanied by her husband, Second Gentleman Douglas Emhoff, White House officials said.
She arrived around noon on Saturday wearing a Howard University shirt.
