Apparent drive-by shooting near Decatur Krispy Kreme turns deadly, victim identified

Police identify the man that died as 19-year-old Demario Hollis.

DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — DeKalb County Police are investigating a deadly shooting by a Krispy Kreme.

Officers were called to the 2474 Wesley Chapel Rd. Monday night in Decatur just around 8:30 p.m.

When police arrived, they found two people shot. 

Police believe that a suspect's vehicle pulled up to the victim's car while they were on the road and fired shots. 

Police said the victim was able to drive away from the gunfire and was taken to a local hospital in serious condition.

However, the victim's passenger who was identified as 19-year-old Demario Hollis died. 

Police are still investigating the incident. 

Videos from the scene show a car had collided with a MARTA bus.
