ATLANTA — Driving on the roads of Atlanta can sometimes be a daunting task. Whether it be speeders, those driving carelessly, or just people not paying attention, the city doesn't have the best reputation for its drivers.
And according to a new study by Forbes, Atlanta ranked as one of the worst cities for bad drivers in the entire United States.
Out of every single city in the country, Atlanta came in at No. 16, with the data backed up by several factors.
For starters, Atlanta is close to the top of the list in number of people killed in car crashes, with just over 15 people killed in fatal crashes per 100,000 residents. The only cities with higher numbers in that category are Memphis, Tennessee; Detroit, Michigan; Albuquerque, New Mexico; Tuscon, Arizona; Kansas City, Missouri; and Dallas, Texas.
Atlanta also ranks at No. 16 in the nation for fatal crashes involving a drunk driver and No. 15 for fatal crashes involving speeding.
Their total score (out of 100) was 70.47.
