KENNESAW, Ga. — The Cobb County Police Department is investigating a crash that claimed the life of a woman early Friday morning.
The collision occurred around 5 a.m. at the intersection of Ernest Barrett Parkway and Stilesboro Road. The intersection is near RiverStone Church and not far from Mount Paran Christian School.
Police said a blue 2013 Hyundai Sonata was traveling north when the car left the lane and crossed over the concrete median, crashing into a utility pole.
The driver, 20-year-old Amy Wamweya, of Kennesaw, was pronounced dead at the scene, the police department said.
