Woman with purse a person of interest in double killing

Police are looking for a person of interest in a South East Atlanta homicide.

On June 8, 2016, police said a 911 caller reported hearing shots fired at a home on Lewis Rd SE in the Norwood Manor neighborhood. When cops arrived, they found the victims, Dante Sutton and Tavares Robinson, with several gunshot wounds to the torso.

Now, police are looking for a woman seen in the home's surveillance video.

They say she is not a suspect but was seen about 30 minutes before the shooting happened.

The victims were the only people in the home when authorities arrived. A police spokesperson said it appeared neither victim fired any shots.

Police recovered "a small amount of narcotics and related materials" along with "a firearm and some electronic equipment," according to investigators.

Police also took five cell phones, a Rossi .38 revolver with six unspent cartridges in the cylinder, a DVR and $70 in case.

Robbery is the suspected motive for the killings.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (404) 577-8477.
