GEORGIA, — The Georgia Lottery's website is back up following maintenance on Tuesday, which left players unable to buy tickets, check winning numbers, or access other services online.
Many early-morning visitors on Sept. 12, to the Georgia Lottery website were met with a message stating:
"The GA Lottery site is currently unavailable due to maintenance in progress. It will be available shortly. Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience."
As of 6:50 a.m., the website is back in service.
In the past, system updates have begun as early as 4:30 a.m. and lasted around three hours. On some occasions, the updates have taken up to eight hours, typically starting the night before and finishing by 9 a.m.
