GAINESVILLE, Ga. — The death of a man who went missing nearly three years ago has been solved, authorities confirm.
According to the Gainesville Police Department, officers arrested 34-year-old Michael Anthony Dean in New Jersey Jan. 27 before being brought back to Georgia.
Gainesville Police said Dean was wanted for the murder of Ricky Lee Sealey.
The 58-year-old was reported missing by a family member Aug. 22, 2016. He was found dead in a vacant lot off Jesse Jewell Parkway days later on Sept. 2, 2016. Authorities had been investigating Sealey's death as a homicide since then.
Dean is now in the Hall County Jail for the murder charges.
