ATLANTA – A person was stabbed late Friday night on a MARTA train at the Lindbergh Station.
MARTA confirmed an altercation between two men aboard a train led to a stabbing around 8:30 p.m. Friday.
Around 8:50 p.m., MARTA tweeted that trains will be delayed in both north and southbound services from the station “due to a problem.”
Atlanta Police confirmed a stabbing occurred on the train and said the victim was alert, conscious, and breathing.
The victim was taken to a local hospital.
MARTA released the following statement to 11Alive:
"We are aware of an incident aboard a southbound MARTA train just after 8:30 p.m., involving an altercation between two male passengers. One subject was transported to the hospital from Lindbergh station. MARTA police are investigating."
