It's something no parent wants to experience.
Luke and Heidi Scanlon of Cadillac, Michigan, were at Myrtle Beach in Florida, when they were unable to get in contact with 15-year-old daughter Leah, according to the Cadillac News.
The couple, who scrambled to get home, are searching for their teenage daughter.
According to a Facebook post by Heidi Scanlon, Leah Scanlon last was seen near Leeson Avenue in Cadillac around noon on Wednesday wearing a gray North Face jacket and black Nike high tops. She added that her daughter has long blonde hair, blue eyes and is 5-foot-8 and about 150 pounds.
There is a $10,000 reward for information that leads to finding Leah. Wexford County Lt. Richard Denison told the Cadillac News that foul play is not suspected.
The Wexford County Sherrif's Department is investigating the case. Anyone with information is asked to contact them at (231) 779-9216.
