TOKYO (NBC) -- Tokyo 2020 organizers unveiled Olympic and Paralympic emblems Friday.
The Olympic emblem is based on the letter "T," bringing together the words Tokyo, tomorrow and team.
The Tokyo Olympic Opening Ceremony is planned for July 24, 2020.
Tokyo won an International Olympic Committee members vote to host the Games over Istanbul and Madrid on Sept. 7, 2013.
Tokyo previously hosted the 1964 Olympics.
In addition to the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo, NBC and 11Alive will carry the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio and the 2018 Winter Olympic Games in Pyeonchang, South Korea.
