ATLANTA -- Atlanta-based United Parcel Service says if you are expecting a package from Washington or Wyoming, the shipment could be delayed.

UPS said on its website early Tuesday that no pickups, deliveries, or UPS On-Call Pickup service are available to those areas at this time.

"With severe weather in Washington and Wyoming, UPS is balancing our priorities of employee safety and customer service," UPS said. "We are committed to moving shipments to their final destinations as quickly as possible and are making every effort to deliver to all areas as soon as conditions safely permit."

The company said UPS Service Guarantee does not apply when transportation networks are disrupted "due to events of this nature."
