WINNETKA, Ill. — "Home Alone" movie lovers, the famed house that belonged to "Kevin McCallister" and his family in the hit 90s holiday film is up for sale, according to Zillow.
The home is being brought to market by Coldwell Banker Realty’s Dawn McKenna Group. Zillow lists the price at $5,250,000.
The single-family home built in 1921 has 9,126 square feet with five bedrooms and six bathrooms. It's located in Winnetka, Illinois, on Lincoln Ave., which is about 20 miles north of Downtown Chicago.
The interior of the home doesn't look the same as the 80s and 90s kids who loved the movie would remember it. According to NBC Chicago, there are several reasons for that, including the fact that the house was too small for all of the movie crew to fit inside some of the rooms during scenes. Some of the shots were filmed at the New Trier Township High School. The Zillow listing also mentions it was renovated and expanded in 2018, but the owners tried to maintain its integrity.
"The gracious foyer and unforgettable entry staircase, as well as the formal living and dining room spaces, all remain largely unchanged in form and structure," the Zillow listing says.
The house has three stories and includes a movie theater, indoor sports courts, a kitchen with double islands, a screened-in porch, two laundry rooms, an attached three-car garage and more.
And, of course, there's a security system in place to keep bandits like "Marv" and "Harry" out!
