TEMPLE, Texas — Eden Radcliffe, Kris Radcliffe's wife of nearly two decades, sent KCEN a statement regarding her husband's sudden passing on Wednesday.
The statement was posted on Facebook by Eden's sister, Libby.
"On behalf of my sister, she wanted me to relay to you our profound thanks for the tremendous outpouring of love and support for her girls, their girls, and families," she wrote. "She's receiving and reading your texts and posts, but it's simply too difficult to respond at this time."
In the statement, Libby said Eden wanted to share the following photo of her and Kris together.
For over two decades at KCEN, Kris shared the most important headlines across Central Texas and gave a voice to its community members. Kris began his journey in Central Texas as a sports anchor before he became a morning anchor for Texas Today for nine years. Kris later joined the evening team as co-anchor for 6 News at 5, 6 and 10.
Kris' dedication to storytelling was evident. For six consecutive years from 2016 to 2021, he was named "Waco Tribune-Herald On-Air Television Personality of the Year," the most anyone has won.
At the heart of Kris' life was a deep love for his family. He was a devoted husband, proud father of two daughters and found immense joy in being a grandfather to his grandson and granddaughter.
