ATLANTA — Businesses both around Atlanta and nationally have freebies, discounts and other special offers for veterans on Veterans Day.
Here are some of the offers veterans can take advantage of:

Pilot Flying J: Free breakfast
The gas and trucker service stations will offer free breakfast - in the form of a PJ Fresh breakfast sandwich, breakfast pizza or breakfast grill item - to all active-duty and retired military veterans from 8-11 a.m. at its locations across the country, including nine around Atlanta.
Vets can redeem the offer by downloading the Pilot Flying J app, the company says.
The company is also making a $100,000 to the Call of Duty Endowment Fund for Veterans Day.
Sonny's BBQ: Free food
The BBQ chain, which has a handful of locations around Atlanta, including in Marietta, Jonesboro and Lawrenceville, is making a free pulled sliced pork big deal combo available to veterans and active duty-military with a valid ID.
The offer is available for dine-in customers.
QuikTrip: Free coffee
QT is offering a free self-serve coffee to veterand ad active-duty military who show their military ID at checkout. The coffee is available all day at all QuickTrip locations.
O'Charley's: Free food
The restaurant chain says it is offering free and discounted meals on Veterans Day, contingent on individual restaurant participation.
The company did not specify the exact meal deal, but locations in other parts of the country are offering free $9.99 meals or $10 off on more expensive meals.
Amazon: Discounted Prime subscriptions
Amazon is offering yearlong Prime memberships at a reduced rate. The company says veterans and activte military can get $40 off a subscription on Veterans Day.
Jet's Pizza: Discounted pizza
The pizza chain, with locations scattered around the Atlanta area, says it will provide a half-off discount on all menu-priced pizzas to veterans, military retirees and active-duty personnel who present a military ID.
Chick-fil-A: Free meals
Cracker Barrel: Free coffee or dessert
The restaurant chain is offering either a pumpkin pie latte or double chocolate fudge coca-cola cake to veterans and active-duty military.
IHOP: Free pancakes
Active-duty military and veterans can receive a free red, white and blueberry pancake combo at participating locations.
Applebee's: Free meals
The restaurant chain says it will offer a selection of free meals for Veterans Day to active military members and veterans. The company says it has served nearly 10 million free meals on Veterans Day since 2008.
