DOUGLAS COUNTY, Ga. — A local politician seems to be caught in a lie after telling 11Alive's cameras she did not take another candidate’s door hanger.
But newly released surveillance video says otherwise.
Christina Peterson and Rudy Harris are two of the candidates running for Solicitor General in Douglas County.

Last week, 11Alive showed video of what appeared to be Peterson taking one of Harris’ door hangers and replacing it with her own about an hour after he left one there. However, the video wasn’t clear so, 11Alive’s Christie Ethridge asked Peterson about the incident and she denied it completely.
Peterson: “There was never a door hanger on any of the doors that I went to.”
Ethridge: “So you didn’t take any of his door hangers?”
Peterson: “No.”
Ethridge: “But you say everything [Rudy Harris] is alleging is completely false?”
Peterson: “That’s right. All the allegations that he has ever alleged about me have been completely false.”
11Alive has now obtained new surveillance video from a different home than the first. And the picture is clearer.
The new video, once again, shows both Peterson and Rudy at the same house. Peterson is in the same dress as she wore in the first video, meaning this happened on the same day.
The biggest difference in the new video is that the camera gets a better look at what Peterson has in her hand: a bright blue door hanger with a distinct white stripe at the bottom.
Below is a photo of both Harris and Peterson’s door hangers.
You can decide.
11Alive reached out to Peterson multiple times over the past few days and have yet to hear from her. She did post on Facebook calling the accusations “poisonous lies” and claims the image was manipulated.
The Office of Solicitor General has prosecuted cases of stolen campaign materials before, but when 11Alive first spoke to Harris about the first incident, he said had not filed a police report and doesn’t plan to.
“You have potentially the top misdemeanor prosecutor out there committing criminal offenses on camera,” Harris said.
He told 11Alive he will let the voters decide.
