DALTON, Ga. — At least four people have been arrested in connection with a rape investigation in a north Georgia town.
According to a report filed by a deputy with the Whitfield County Sheriff's Office, the investigation began on March 31 on Downing Street in Dalton.
There, the deputy said a woman told him she had been visiting the Dalton area and was spending time with a woman named Amy Walden when around midnight, Walden took her to a trailer on Richardson Drive where she said two men rapped her. The victim said that there were a total of five other people in the mobile home including Walden, a man named Marty Burke, another woman possibly named Lindsey, a muscular white man and a skinny white man in his early 50s.
The victim told police that it was the latter two who raped her on orders from Burke and Walden. The individuals went on to claim association with a Mexican mob adding that there was a hit on the victim for being a federal informant. She added that her car keys and phone were taken during the assault.
The victim was later taken to an area hospital and a detective took over the case.
The police report lists six people as suspects in the crime and a search of Whitfield County Jail records show at least four had been arrested and were being held without bond.
Walden, who was later identified as Amy Louise Marie Jones, was charged with terroristic threats and acts, felony theft by taking and false imprisonment.
Marlon "Marty" Bradford Burk was also arrested on the same charges along with parole violation.
Two other men were arrested in connection with the sexual assault as well - Richard Lawrence Forrest and Richard Marvin Smith.
Forrest was charged with strong-arm rape, parole violation, terroristic threats and acts, aggravated sodomy and false imprisonment.
Smith was charged with strong-arm rape, possession of methamphetamine, possession and use of drug-related objects, aggravated sexual battery and false imprisonment.
All four were being held without bond.
