JEFFERSON, Ga. -- Authorities confirm a plane has landed on the highway in Jackson County, Tuesday afternoon.
Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum says the plane landed on US 441 and Cabin Creek Road. She says the pilot lost power in one engine on his way back to Greenville, South Carolina.
Officials with the Federal Aviation Administration reports that the aircraft was a Piper PA-24 around 3:40 p.m.
At this point, there are no reports of any injuries.
All roads are back open after the plane was removed.
