ATLANTA -- Atlanta Police are investigating a deadly double shooting behind The Vortex Bar & Grill on Moreland Avenue in Little Five Points.

Police say workers inside the bar heard gunfire around 2:45 a.m. Saturday morning.

They went out to investigate, found one of the victims in the parking lot behind the bar and called 911.

"As responding officers arrived, the second male was located, as well," said Captain Michael O'Connor. "We have no apparent motive for this crime."

The victims have been identified as Joseph Hruska, 33, of Atlanta, and Chaitanyalila D. Kelsey, 32, of Atlanta.

The case remains under investigation.

Earlier in the morning, authorities responded to an armed robbery call at 1068 North Highland Avenue.

According to police, the victims stated they were robbed at gun point by three black males. The males approached the victims from behind and began to pass by them. One of the males then struck the male victim in back of the head, knocking him to the ground. A gun was then put to the chest of the female victim and her property was demanded. The male took the items from her purse which included an Apple iPhone 5, and her wallet containing cards and cash.

The property of the male victim was also demanded and taken. His wallet with credit cards, license and cash were taken. The cards were cancelled and appeared to have not been used.
