Bill Clinton to stop in Georgia to campaign for Kamala Harris

CNN reported that the former president will be campaigning for Kamala Harris with stops on Sunday and Monday in Georgia.

ATLANTA — Former President Bill Clinton will campaign in battleground states to show his support for Vice President Kamala Harris as the 2024 Presidential Election approaches, according to CNN

The news organization said Clinton is starting this campaign with stops in Georgia on Sunday and Monday. A bus tour is also anticipated in North Carolina. CNN also said the goal is to appeal to rural voters, as polls have shown Harris performing worse than some of the last few Democratic nominees.

CNN also said that he'll be focusing on counties previously won by former President Donald Trump and appealing to those who had voted for him. According to the news organization, Clinton was the last Democratic presidential nominee before Joe Biden to win Georgia in 1992. The hope is that he may be able to reconnect the voters and have Georgia be blue this election.

Georgia is a key battleground state. As the race for the White House continues, both Harris's and Trump's campaigns have made numerous visits to various areas of the state.

It is currently unknown where Clinton will be in Georgia and at what time. Those details will be forthcoming.
