Here's how to check early voting wait times across metro Atlanta

As voters line up at the polls to cast their ballots, 11Alive is tracking wait times in metro Atlanta's "Core 5" counties.

ATLANTA — Early voting has officially begun in Georgia for the 2024 Presidential Election.

Georgians can vote in person before Election Day until Friday, Nov. 1. Dates and times may vary by polling location. 

As voters line up at the polls to cast their ballots, 11Alive is tracking wait times in metro Atlanta's "Core 5" counties. 

So far, Secretary of State Brad Raffensper said average check-in times across the state are less than three minutes. Scroll below for instructions on how to check early voting waiting times.

Clayton County early voting wait times 

If you're heading to the polls in Clayton County, voters can track wait times at several voting precincts online here. As of Tuesday, Oct. 15 at noon, there is currently no wait at several polling locations across the county.

Cobb County early voting wait times 

In Cobb County, voters can use this map online to check for early voting wait times. The green marker indicates a less than 20-minute wait. Meanwhile, the red marker means there's a wait of more than an hour. 

DeKalb County early voting wait times 

In DeKalb County, wait times are tracked online here. The dashboard shows wait times at all the early voting polling locations currently open. If your polling location shows a green marker, there's a less-than-30-minute wait. Orange, yellow and red markers indicate longer wait times. 

Fulton County early voting wait times 

In Fulton County, voters can track early voting wait times using the dashboard online here. As of Tuesday, Oct. 15, at noon, all polling locations in the county had a wait of less than 30 minutes

Gwinnett County early voting wait times 

Gwinnett County is updating its early voting wait times at its polling locations online here.

As of Tuesday, Oct. 15, at noon, the longest wait time at the Gwinnett County Board of Voter Registrations and Elections' main office is 45 minutes.  

Where do I go to vote? 

You can find your polling location through the My Voter Page. Once you log into your account, you'll find the name and address of your voting precinct. 

On your My Voter Page, you'll find information on early voting and absentee ballot drop box locations. You can also look at a sample ballot before you head to the polls.
