Nov. 7 election | Here's when polls close in Georgia

Several communities are heading to the polls Tuesday, Nov. 7.

ATLANTA — Editor's note: This story was modified after the City of Atlanta updated its website to say polls close within the city at 7 p.m. and not 8 p.m.

In some areas, voters are electing mayors, city councilmembers and school board members. These local races typically see far lower turnout than the better-publicized state and national elections - but they are just as important.

For more information on the races up for a vote on Tuesday, you can see our guide here.
