Trump spoke for more than an hour and a half, addressing a crowd just days after an assassination attempt that deeply impacted him and the party.

ATLANTA — Former President Donald Trump concluded the Republican National Convention with a call for unity and promises of safety, prosperity, and freedom for all Americans.

On the convention's final night, Trump accepted the party's nomination for president, emphasizing his commitment to being a president for every citizen.

"I stand before you in this arena only by the grace of Almighty God. Together, we will launch a new era of safety, prosperity, and freedom for citizens of every race, religion, color, and creed," Trump said, adding, "The discord and division in our society must be healed."

The final night of the convention was marked by calls for unity and resilience. Speakers highlighted Trump's toughness and determination, describing him as having "the heart of a lion and the soul of a warrior." Former cabinet members and Georgia GOP delegates echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the party's focus on re-electing Trump to ensure a secure and safe America.

As the convention wrapped up, local Republicans in Atlanta gathered at various watch parties to show their support. At the Spring Cinema and Tap House in Sandy Springs, more than 100 supporters watched Trump's speech live. Many expressed renewed resolve to support the former president following the assassination attempt.
