While the presidential primary came and went in Georgia without much fanfare, Peach State voters must still decide primaries in critical races.

They include primaries for U.S. Congress, seats in the Georgia Senate and Georgia House of Representatives, and local races for everything from education board seats to tax commissioner.

Election Day for those primaries is now coming up on May 21. Early voting has already begun.

In many cases, significant jobs like judgeships or county offices don't have both parties nominating candidates -- meaning whoever wins the primary for the party that is nominating candidates wins the election outright.

All that adds up to make May 21 an arguably more significant Election Day than the earlier presidential primary day.

Below, find links to our county-specific guides for Fulton, DeKalb, Gwinnett, Cobb and Clayton counties, as well as a summary of what races are on the ballot in those counties.
