ATLANTA — Tuesday marks National Voter Registration Day. In honor of the day, here's everything you need to know about how to cast your ballot in Georgia for the 2024 Presidential Election.
Below, you'll find a breakdown of how to check your voter registration, voter registration events across metro Atlanta and important election dates to mark on your calendar!
How to check your voter registration
To check your voter registration in Georgia, you must log into your "My Voter Page" account on the Secretary of State's website.
You'll then be prompted to fill out your first initial, last name, county of residence and date of birth. It'll look like this below:
Once you submit your information, it'll ask you to enter your Georgia ID or driver's license number.
If you are registered to vote, you'll find your voter registration ID number, your polling location and you can view your sample ballot.

Voter registration events in Georgia
Several organizations are hosting voter registration events across metro Atlanta. Here are just a few events happening on Tuesday, Sept. 17:
Clayton County
The Clayton County Board of Elections wants you to register to vote at a location near you from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Check out the full list of locations in the social media post below:
Cobb County
Cobb County's voter education and outreach team is hosting an event at its main office at 995 Roswell Street NW in Marietta from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Fulton County
Fulton County's voter education and outreach team is hosting several events. You can find more information about the events, online here.

- 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

- 2 to 6 p.m. ET
2024 Presidential Election dates to know
- Oct. 7: Deadline to register to vote for General Election/ Runoff
- Oct. 15- Nov. 1: Early voting for the General Election
- Oct. 25: Deadline to request an absentee ballot for General Election
- Nov. 5: General Election
- Dec. 3: General Election Runoff (if needed)
