ATLANTA — Tuesday, Nov. 5 marks Election Day for the 2024 Presidential Election with voters deciding whether Vice President Kamala Harris or former President Donald Trump will succeed President Joe Biden and become the 47th President of the United States.

The Peach State was hotly contested in 2020. Who knows what Georgia voters will do in 2024?

11Alive is tracking not only the presidential race, but also key races up for grabs across the state. Under Georgia's Gold Dome, all of the state's 56 Senate and 180 House seats are up for election. Democrats hope to chip away at the Republican majorities in both chambers.

Races to watch in Georgia's legislature include State Senate District 48, covering Gwinnett, South Forsyth and Northeast Fulton. In that race, Sen. Shawn Still (R) is the incumbent. He was among 18 people indicted in the Fulton County election interference case, where he's specifically accused of signing documents falsely stating former president Donald Trump won Georgia and attempting to act as a false elector. Still's challenger is a 25-year-old Democrat, Ashwin Ramaswami. He's a Georgetown law graduate and was still in school when Still was indicted. Ramaswami could draw strong support from the growing Indian-American population in the district and has raised twice as much money as Still. But this district was recently redrawn to favor Republican.

Meanwhile races to watch in the State House include District 48 in the northern Atlanta suburbs between Rep. Scott Hilton (R) and Laura Murvartian (D); District 53 between one of the most vulnerable incumbents Rep. Deborah Silcox (R) and Susie Greenberg (D); District 56 where Rep. Mesha Mainor (R) -- who switched parties from Democrat to Republican -- could potentially lose to Bryce Berry (D); District 99 between Rep. Matt Reeves (R) and Michelle Kang (D); District 105 between Rep. Farooq Mughal (D) and Sandy Donatucci (R), which could flip Republican; and District 108 between Rep. Jasmine Clar (D) and Elvia Davila (R).
