According to a local Democratic strategist, an invitation for the Harris event is scheduled for Tuesday.

“Kamala Harris’ path is different,” one Democratic strategist said to NBC News on the condition of anonymity to discuss the effort candidly. 

The strategist added that some believe Harris's path could be more focused on mobilizing Black voters in Southern states such as Georgia and North Carolina rather than President Biden’s strategy, which includes working to lock down Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan.
