ATLANTA — The presidential election will take center stage on Tuesday night as the nation waits to find out whether Vice President Kamala Harris or former President Donald Trump will lead the country for the next four years.
But numerous key races in Georgia will shape the United States House of Representatives. There are 14 seats up for grabs in Georgia on Election Night.
Races to watch in Georgia for the U.S. House include District 3, where Republican nominee Brian Jack and Democratic candidate Maura Keller are up against each other. Jack, a Fayette County native, served as the White House Political Director while Trump was president and has been a senior advisor on Trump's 2024 presidential campaign. Keller is a retired Army lieutenant colonel and Fayetteville resident. She is running on a platform of abortion rights, better veterans services and higher wages.
In District 6, Republican Jeff Criswell is up against Democrat incumbent Lucy McBath. Criswell is new to politics and is "a conservative leader who will bring a common-sense, centrist perspective to Georgia's 6th Congressional District." McBath, as a member of Congress, has supported laws on expanding background checks and has made gun control and reducing gun violence her primary focus.
