Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp spent Thursday afternoon in the nation's capital discussing workplace mobility with President Donald Trump, U.S. Secretary of Labor Alex Acosta, and other leaders.
The roundtable was held at the White House.
The White House posted a short video clip of the bipartisan meeting on Twitter.
"I'm delighted to welcome the governors from both parties to discuss the best ways to reform occupational licensing laws, advance childcare policies, and provide quality training to all Americans," Trump said.
"In Georgia, we're working every day to ensure our world-class workforce is prepared to meet the needs of industries from across the nation and around the world," said Governor Kemp. "I was honored to join President Trump, Secretary Acosta, fellow governors, and other administration leaders to discuss how we can work together to ensure Georgia - and other states - provide better skills training and attract good jobs."
After that meeting, the president gave remarks about second chance hiring to a room filled with U.S. leaders and celebrities. Kim Kardashian West tweeted that she would be speaking at that event.
