ATLANTA — 11Alive is partnering with NBC News on a swing-state, county-level reporting initiative focused on the 2024 presidential election.
The initiative, "The Deciders," will feature on-the-ground reporting from seven swing states - including Georgia. NBC News' Blayne Alexander, producer Charlie Gile and embed Nnamdi Egwuonwu will report from Gwinnett County.
11Alive will contribute local reporting, as well, to "The Deciders." 11Alive's TEGNA sister station in Phoenix, KPNX, will partner in Arizona, and additional NBC affiliates in Miami; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Reno, Nevada; Erie, Pennsylvania; and Madison, Wisconsin will provide reporting.
"The initiative represents a significant early investment from NBC News in closely covering the on-the-ground dynamics of the 2024 election cycle, getting beyond 'horse race' coverage and bringing audiences deeply reported, on-the-ground insights on the stakes of the race from a key cross-section of the electorate," NBC said in a release. "Through voter interviews, focus groups, and in-depth reporting, dedicated reporting teams in each of the seven counties – one each in Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin – will regularly return to the same voters and communities throughout the year to spotlight how they are thinking about the issues and how their priorities shift or hold up over time."

Reporting from the initiative will appear across NBC News platforms, including NBC News NOW and NBCNews.com, the network said.
