ATLANTA — Former Donald Trump attorney and New York mayor Rudy Giuliani was ordered by a federal judge to turn over all of his luxury possessions and New York City penthouse apartment to the control of two Georgia election workers who he defamed following the 2020 election, according to a report by CNN.

The report also said that the judge in federal court in Manhattan ordered that Giuliani must turn over his interest in the property to Shaye Moss and her mother, Ruby Freeman, in the next seven days in order for them to take control of it.

CNN reported that the order for Moss and Freeman to receive the valuable items is "swift and simple." However, the penthouse apartment will have its complete control transferred to Moss and Freeman so that they can potentially sell it for millions of dollars.

Giuliani was already ordered to pay Moss and Freeman $148 million after losing a defamation lawsuit filed against him for the false ballot fraud claims he made against Moss and Freeman that resulted in them receiving racist threats and consistent harassment following Joe Biden's win over Trump in the 2020 election.

Here are the other items Judge Lewis Linman ordered Giuliani to turn over to Moss and Freeman:

  • $2 million in legal fees still owed to Giuliani by the Trump campaign.
  • Collection of 26 watches -- including one given to him by European presidents after the Sept. 11 attacks, a Rolex, five Shinolas, two Bulovas and one Tiffany & Co.
  • Jersey and picture signed by Joe DiMaggio and Reggie Jackson along with other sports memorabilia.
  • A 1980 Mercedes-Benz SL 500 once owned by Hollywood star Lauren Bacall.
  • His television, furniture items and jewelry -- including a diamond ring.

The judge has not yet decided whether Giuliani will be able to keep his Palm Beach, Florida, condo that he owns, or his four New York Yankees World Series rings that his son says his dad gave to him, CNN says.

The Associated Press reported that Giuliani tried to keep one of the watches that he claimed was given to him by his grandfather. He asked to keep it due to sentimental value, but the judge rejected the request, saying that Giuliani could keep it if he proved the watch's value was less than $1,000, which he never did.

The decision by a jury to strip Giuliani of a considerable amount of his cash assets came back in December 2023, as the Moss and Freeman tearfully described becoming the target of a false conspiracy theory pushed by Giuliani and other Republicans as they tried to keep then-President Trump in power after he lost the 2020 election.

It’s not clear whether Giuliani will ever be able to pay the staggering amount. He had already been showing signs of financial strain as he defended himself against costly lawsuits and investigations stemming from his representation of Trump. In September, his former lawyer sued him, alleging Giuliani had paid only a fraction of the nearly $1.6 million in legal fees he had racked up.

To date, Giuliani has not paid Moss and Freeman anything.
