You can own a piece Atlanta's movie scene - at a cheap price too!
Props and wardrobe from a major filming company are available for purchase for the next few days at a warehouse located at 1902 Sullivan Road in College Park.
"It’s about 60,000 square feet of props, furniture, clothes, accessories from four major television shows that were filmed here in Atlanta, said Robert Ahlers, of Ahlers and Ogletree Auction Gallery and president of Peachtree Battle Estate Sales.
The sale will continue Friday and Saturday and the discount percent will drop each day - 30 percent for June 14 and down 50 percent on June 15.
"And on Sunday everything that’s left will be sold by an auction in quantity and bulk," Ahlers said.
TV props for sale
The response has been good since the sale started on Wednesday.
“Yesterday we probably had 5,000 people come through here," he added.
Even the professionals are taking advantage of the deals.
“Every major studio was here," Ahlers said. "Tyler Perry Productions, a lot of major studios buying props and things, and the general public.”
He said there's more than 350 racks of clothing to choose from.
“People are recognizing things from the shows," he said.
The hours of the sale are from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.
