VALDOSTA, Ga. -- Dozens of protesters are making sure no one forgets a Georgia student who would have graduated Saturday.
And in the aftermath of his controversial death, they continue to demand justice.
Kendrick Johnson would have graduated with the 2015 class at Lowndes High School. On Saturday, those protesters called for the school to recognize Johnson.
Extra security was brought in for the protest. About 75 people were demonstrating - many of them from Atlanta.
One man even drove ten hours from Louisiana to be there.
Kendrick Johnson was found dead in a rolled-up gym mat more than two years ago.
Investigators have ruled his death a freak accident but the teen's family insists he was murdered.
The Lowndes County Sheriff's Office said it has had a year to prepare for the graduation protest.
Officials said they had no issues and the protest was peaceful.
