BAINBRIDGE, Ga. — A Georgia Chick-fil-A manager, who was seven months pregnant, was killed in a crash over the weekend when she collided with a prison transport vehicle in Florida– just hours before her baby shower, according to a report from WALB.

The Panama City Police Department said officers responded to the crash at the intersection of Highway 231 and Highway 390 early Saturday morning in Bay County, Florida.

Kristen Clark, 33, was driving a Honda when she collided with the back of a Bay County Sheriff's Office transport van, WALB reported.

Authorities are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Police said seven others, including three prisoners who were in the transport van, were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, according to WALB.

Clark and her unborn baby, Asher Blaze, passed away in the accident, Bainbridge Chick-fil-A Marketing Director Krystal Apke told WALB.

After the news of Clark's tragic passing, the Chick-fil-A where she worked in Bainbridge, Georgia, took to social media to describe her as a "remarkable leader, a loyal and fierce friend."
