ATLANTA — It's one of the most well-known schools in Atlanta - and the U.S. Now, Ron Clark Academy is hiring.

The school is hiring technical support specialists now and teachers of all subjects in grades four through eight for the 2019-2020 school year.

Those looking to become support specialists should have experience with tech support, networking and basic system administration.

The school is asking applicants to submit a one-to-three-minute video describing their experience, why they would be a valuable member of the team and why they want to be a part of Ron Clark Academy.

For the teaching positions, administrators are looking for teachers certified in the state where they reside and have a minimum of three years of teaching experience.

Teacher candidates will also need to provide a video describing what makes them unique or distinctive as a teacher, what it's like to be in their classroom, what a visiting educator might learn from watching them teach and why they want to be part of Ron Clark Academy.

Though Ron Clark Academy has become somewhat famous for its music videos, they stress that what they're looking for is the content of the message - meaning no rapping, singing, dancing or "fancy editing" in the video.

"We seriously just want to see you talk about some of the things that matter to us," the application said.

The Ron Clark Academy opened 10 years ago and has become known nationally for its innovative teaching techniques and viral videos featuring the students. The academy describes itself as an "educator training facility" and a "family."

"Teachers are expected to go above and beyond to create magic, develop relationships, and provide a world-class education to our students," the school's description adds.

Anyone who meets the requirements should send their video, cover letter and resume to apply@ronclarkacademy.com with "Teacher Applicant" in the subject line.  But they're telling applicants to put their names in quickly because they plan to start interviews soon.
