ATLANTA — Although no decision is expected Friday on whether Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis will be removed or not in the election interference case involving former President Donald Trump and others, attorneys continue to make their arguments.
Among those making arguments for Willis and special prosecutor Nathan Wade is Fulton County Chief Deputy District Attorney Adam Abatte.
Who is Adam Abatte?
Adam Abatte is the chief deputy district attorney for the major crimes division in Fulton County, according to his bio on the Fulton County government's website.
Abatte has over 10 years of legal experience and has experience handling felony criminal cases, in which he has worked "difficult and high-profile cases in Georgia's most demanding setting as a Prosecutor," his bio states.
He has also served as a prosecutor in both the Cobb and Atlanta Judicial Circuits, where he first served as an assistant solicitor general for the Cobb Judicial Circuit. Before he served as a prosecutor, Abatte worked as an attorney in private practice, where he represented clients around Georgia with a focus on criminal defense.
"While serving the community as a prosecutor, Adam has handled hundreds of felony cases from arrest to trial, including high profile murder prosecutions and death penalty litigation," Abatte's bio reads.
