ATLANTA — We had a million-dollar Powerball winner in Georgia last weekend, but sadly there was no Valentine's Day luck for anyone to repeat the big win in the Peach State.
The winning numbers were 1, 4, 45, 47, 67 and a red "Powerball" number of 18. The "Power Play" multiplier in effect was 2x.
According to the Powerball website, there was no jackpot winner anywhere else in the country on Wednesday night. That means the next jackpot will be an estimated $306 million for the drawing on Saturday night, Feb. 1 at 11 p.m. ET.
Here's a look at the Georgia winnings from Wednesday night's drawing:
Georgia Powerball winnings for Wednesday, Feb. 14
- $200: 7 winners
- $100: 23 winners
There were no four-figure winners in the Peach State last night.
One person matched four white-ball numbers for a $100 prize and had the 2x "Power Play" multiplier in effect, while another six people had three white-ball numbers and the red Powerball number matching for a $100 prize, also with the 2x multiplier in effect, to account for the $200 prize winners.
Of the $100 winners, four people matched four white-ball numbers while 19 people matched three white-ball numbers and the red Powerball number.
What are my chances of winning the Powerball?
The odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are one in 292.2 million.
Over the past few years, huge lottery jackpots have become more common as lottery officials have changed the rules and ticket prices to boost top prizes.
Powerball's biggest change came in 2021 when officials decided to add a Monday drawing to its weekly lineup of Wednesday and Saturday evening drawings. At the time of the announcement, Powerball proclaimed the addition of the Monday drawing would lead to "larger, faster-growing jackpots."
