ATLANTA — One lucky lottery player in the Peach State is waking up Tuesday morning $50,000 richer.
The winning numbers in the Powerball drawing on Monday night, February 26, were 24, 29, 42, 51, 54 with a red "Powerball" number of 16. The "Power Play" multiplier in effect was 3x.
According to the Powerball website, there was no jackpot winner anywhere in the country on Monday night, meaning the next drawing's estimated jackpot is up to $412 million. That drawing will take place on Wednesday night, February 28, at 11 p.m. ET.

The $50,000 winner matched four white ball numbers plus the red "Powerball" number for their prize. If they had used the 3x "Power Play" multiplier, it would have been a $150,000 prize.
The seven $300 winners used the 3x "Power Play" to multiply $100 prizes -- one of those winners matched four white ball numbers while the other six matched three white ball numbers and the red "Powerball" number."

Over the past few years, huge lottery jackpots have become more common as lottery officials have changed the rules and ticket prices to boost top prizes.
Powerball's biggest change came in 2021 when officials decided to add a Monday drawing to its weekly lineup of Wednesday and Saturday evening drawings. At the time of the announcement, Powerball proclaimed the addition of the Monday drawing would lead to "larger, faster-growing jackpots."
