ATLANTA — Food insecurity is an issue across the U.S. 365 days a year. But, the NFL is doing its part to “Kick Hunger” with its annual fundraising event on Super Bowl eve.
The 28th Annual "Party with a Purpose" kicks off Saturday night, featuring the talents of country superstar Martina McBride as well as the culinary magic of dozens of chefs. TV personality and chef Andrew Zimmern, as well as dozens of stars, are set to attend the Super Bowl Weekend’s largest NFL sanctioned charitable event.
As part of the ticketed event, top chefs from each of the NFL cities will pair with current and former players for a night of food, football and giving back. Chef Kevin Rathbun is set to represent the Atlanta Falcons for the night.
The strolling food event and fundraiser will culminate in a performance by McBride.
All of the night’s proceeds will go directly back to the team’s hometown community, benefitting designated Feed America food banks across the 32 NFL cities. The “Party with a Purpose” accompanies the efforts of the NFL’s “Kick Hunger Challenge,” where contributions can be donated in the name of a favorite NFL team.
