ATLANTA — What started as an attempted water bottle sale turned into a shooting according to Atlanta Police.
A woman told police that she was exiting the highway onto Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. on Wednesday evening, when she was approached by two young men who asked her if she wanted to buy water.
Shortly after the woman declined, the teenagers threw a bottle of water at her. The victim told police that she drove away from the exit, but came back with her husband so that they could speak with the teens. That's when she said one of the teenagers took out a gun and shot at the couple before running away.
Police said they caught the two suspects. The 15-year-old was charged with aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, then taken to the Metro Regional Youth Detention Center.
The 17-year-old was charged with disorderly conduct and terroristic threats before being taken to the Fulton County Jail.
Police said no one was injured.
