UGA wideout Mecole Hardman crushes 40 times at the NFL Combine

Hardman posted a 4.34 40 time in his second attempt – just 0.02 seconds slower than Ohio State's Parris Campbell.

Mecole Hardman didn't run the fastest 40-yard-dash during Saturday's portion of the NFL Combine ... but that shouldn't matter to any scout or general manager.

Or the United States Track and Field Association.

The former UGA wideout, who left school early for the upcoming draft, posted two blistering times of 4.36 seconds (first attempt) and 4.34 seconds (2nd attempt) – falling incrementally short of Ohio State's Parris Campbell, who eclipsed the field with a 4.32.

Hardman, who might have elevated himself to a Day 2 pick in the draft (Rounds 2 and 3), missed out on the all-time Combine record of 4.22, held by John Ross (circa 2017).

Fellow Bulldogs wideout Terry Godwin ran a clean 4.6 on his first attempt ... and a 4.55 on the second go-round.
