ATLANTA — After announcing plans to launch next-day delivery service, the new Walmart shopping experience is starting in Atlanta.
The retailer announced last month that it would begin rolling out the new delivery option across the country, in addition to the grocery pickup program. Now, the new delivery feature is available in Atlanta.
Walmart bills next-day delivery as a "fast, convenient shipping option" that offers shoppers a "seamless experience."
Next-day delivery is available for eligible orders of $35, but varies by customer location. All items in the cart must be eligible for next-day delivery to qualify.
Previous reports say that the service will cover 220,000 popular items from diapers and non-perishable food items to toys and electronics. That's nearly double the number of items it carries in its stores.
