SPRING, Texas – Two men were playing with an alligator at the Spring Crawfish Festival on Saturday—you probably know how this story ends.
The video below, posted by Mona Villegas on YouTube, starts out with a gator—mouth wide open (a sign of things to come?)—with the man in black popping the alligator on the top of the snout.
The man goes as far as shutting the gator's mouth with his hands.
It appears everything is under control until the 22-second mark when a man in a red shirt walks behind the gator and—OH NO HE JUST GOT BIT!
The gator really latches on, and even shakes its body with the man's arm clenched in its jaws.
The crowd shrieks, and the camera operator—presumably in a moment of panic—pans the camera to the ground.
When the camera pulls back up, the gator is back on the ground, the man in black is still sitting on one knee and the man in red takes a quick glance at his arm, which is clearly bleeding. He even makes a brave attempt to grab his hat that fell off during the bite before he walks off.
Most notably out of all of this: The back of the man's red shirt reads, "Quick hands or no hands."
