You can buy an abandoned Colorado town on Craigslist

If Denver's real estate market is getting you down, just remember: For roughly a third of the price of a home near Washington Park, you can buy an entire town.

You can apparently buy a ghost town on Craigslist, if that's your thing.

If Denver’s real estate market is getting you down, just remember: For roughly a third of the price of a home near Washington Park, you can buy an entire town.

That is, if you have a $175,000 down payment and are totally cool with a 45-minute commute to Denver, not to mention doing a lot of renovation work/maybe hiring an exorcist (because ghost town).

According to a posting on Craigslist, you can buy a five-acre plot at Cabin Creek, Colorado for $350,000. This includes an old gas station, eight-room motel, road-side restaurant café, eight-space RV park, two houses and a private shooting range.

That’s a lot … especially considering how much it costs to live in a studio apartment without a dishwasher in Denver.

You also have more than 500-feet of Highway 36 frontage and four driveway entrances to “draw in customers,” the posting says.

So, to loosely quote the 2008 film “Step Brothers,” you’ll have plenty of room for activities – you know, if buying a fixer-upper ghost town is your thing.
